Massively Networked #1 Technology Bestseller on Amazon due to KDP Select Program
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 22, 2012 — Massively Networked: How the convergence of social media and technology is changing your life, by author Pamela Lund, hit the #1 position for Technology Bestsellers on Kindle’s free promotion, with over 5200 downloads this weekend alone.
Massively Networked is participating in Amazon’s KDP Select program, which makes the book available to the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library in exchange for exclusive eBook distribution rights for 90 days. As part of the program, authors have the option to offer their Kindle book for free for up to 5 days during this period. On the remaining non-promotional days, authors earn royalties based on the number of times the book is borrowed.
“The publishing world is changing faster than ever. The numbers of people writing books and publishing them independently is unprecedented. The increasing volume of books coming online and the ramping up of speed to market changes the publishing game entirely,” says Lund, ”The question is: How do you master a game with no rules? It is a time to take bold risks, pay attention to what works, and learn from what doesn’t.”
Massively Networked is available on Amazon in both hardcover and Kindle additions. Amazon Prime members can borrow the Kindle version for free. Non-members can borrow Massively Networked for a small fee.
